Te Manu Tukutuku Poem

Te Manu Tukutuku Poem

When I walked into the new location of our school I saw no litter at all. I could also see lots of colours in the syndicate spaces. I went to go see the playground, I saw some new and fun attractions to play on.

When I was playing on the playground I heard a small group of other kids playing basketball. The rest of the school were talking to their friends and playing games with them. When the bell went off instead of it ringing the teachers replaced it with Pharrell William’s song ‘Happy’.

I went to my syndicate space and I could smell a small scent of paint.
I could smell fresh, clean air when I got into my syndicate space.

I felt the soft, cosy carpet that was so fluffy I could lie down there and peacefully do my independent work. The floor was as furry as a cat's fur. When I stepped foot into one of the breakout spaces I sat down on
the fuzzy, blue, cafe-like couches, those couches were so fuzzy and comfortable that I could sleep on one of them.

At first when I got to the new school, I was excited, sad, nervous. The reason why I was a little sad was because I would never go back to the old school again. I was also nervous since we were starting at a new school and I might not remember what to do. At the same time I was excited that there were lots of new stuff at the new school.
