Stormy Night

This term in Punui-o-toka we have been learning about weather. In art I created a stormy night picture.
First I dyed my piece of paper with Black starting from the top, so with my dye I used it left to right then right to left, as I did that when I got to the other side I went down a level with my dye. When I was half way I started using Dark Blue for the rest. I didn't get to use Light blue sadly. Second I made a silhouette for shadows of some buildings out of Black paper. Third I dabbed some Black paint for a storm cloud. Fourth I used White paint to create lightning bolts.

Rainy Day

This week Punui-o-toka made a rainy day drawing using dye and crayons. We were allowed to draw a rainbow with coloured crayons, but i chose not to. The colours are Navy Blue, Black and Light Blue, I call Light Blue "Cyan" mostly. First we used White crayons to make raindrops, ripples and a line for you to see where the sky is and where the ground is. Then I dyed with the Black for the clouds and concrete, but I needed blue aswell for the sky and the ripples. I didn't get to use Light Blue because Mr Breach took it before I came to dye.
